The refrigerator was finally fixed- took over 2 months - $spent with eating out everyday and the frustration made it far less than a good experience but they did finish the job eventually- I would still have preferred to keep my $600 and just buy a new one than go...

Details
Had problem with washing machine. Appliance company ordered part, came back out on a Friday evening, stayed until 10:00 pm, told me it could not be fixed and recommended a new washing machine. I took it upon myself to purchase a similar model and because it wasn't "officially" approved by HMS, I am not being reimbursed. Basically, I'm out $860 for the washer and $100 for the deductible for a total of $960. Rather than doing the right thing, HMS is denying the claim.
