I have used them for two years and during that time my stove broke and they promised replacement; to date I still have not received my stove or compensation. Also, They approved replacing my GArbage disposal a year ago and I am still waiting for the replacement. We should get a lawsuit against them as I see so many complaints about them online and they like to hang up on you so don't even try calling. Now I hear they are changing their name. Probaly same copany just trying to hide form all the bad reviews.

They send out contractors that have bad reviews. I have a contractor lie to them about the repair they made to my refrigerator therefore I was denied my claim. It's not what it's cracked up to be save your money

The refrigerator was finally fixed- took over 2 months - $spent with eating out everyday and the frustration made it far less than a good experience but they did finish the job eventually- I would still have preferred to keep my $600 and just buy a new one than go...

Renew homeowner and don’t have my contract number | HMS Home Warranty review from Midlothian, Virginia

I was trying to renew home warranty and to see if I’m late if that’s still an option. I have called the customer service line to only get directed to old claims that are no longer a issue. Just simply want to renew and can not find contract info to do the online process.

Pissed customer | HMS Home Warranty review

I called them @4:30pm EST to request a technician. They never sent a service order until I called them again at 8:17pm. They then sent an email to me saying a different company and the service order number. I had to call the original service company back who had called me and said they had not received a service order number. I apologized to them and they told me that that was the reason they don't do business with HMS anymore. This was total incompetence on HMS's part. I am seriously thinking of changing my home warranty service company.

You don’t need a home warranty service. They all operate the same way and are a waste of money.

Take the monthly premium you pay each month and save in an emergency fund.

I bet by the time you need your next repair, you will have enough in the account to pay it. You will also have the freedom to choose your own contractor and not be dependent on someone else whose primary goal is to get you the cheapest service.
