I call and seem to be put on hold for more than a half hour. When I ask to speak to manager, they give me the same run around. My AC claim was made three weeks ago and it has yet to be approved. I am staying at my family members house until this is fixed. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND HMS TO ANYONE. My AC has yet to be fixed and I cant live in the home I am paying for until they fix this. After calling 12 of the HVAC contractors they suggested, which none of them would work on a condo, they gave me permission to use a company of my choice.When they came out they told me the compressor needed to be replaced at $4500, HMS would only cover $560 because the company would not explain every step they were going to take to remove and replace the unit. I submitted a claim to HMS on Tuesday because our central air unit stopped working.We found out the unit needs a new compressor and that it needed to be ordered and approved through their part ordering authorization process. Last week I placed a claim with HMS about my split A/C unit leaking water in the home and the promptly gave me a reference # and the vendor contact information for me to set up the service call. After I spoke with the service agent I just had this bad feeling. On a separate note, he told me he would call before he showed and he didn't and I have dogs and an infant.
